How To Find The Road To Emotional Strength

The paths to a fulfilled, and emotionally happy life like the roads in LA County are full of potholes, one moment loss of focus, and BAM, you’re on your face in a pool of your own tears.

The world is too ready to judge moments of weakness, way too conditioned by the media, quotes by motivational coaches, and dead poets on Facebook, you know the ones that love to tell you how to live “your” life. You know as well as I do, if they had to walk three feet in your shoes, they’d freak.

For 30 years I’ve been the “Band Aid”, the “Soothing Cream” in the medicine cabinets, not always needed, but great to know it’s there. I specialize in being the friend that never condemns, and the heart that always listens. Not with platitudes that have been used too often to be interesting or thoughtful, but by asking what is needed now, what you can do with the strength you have “at that moment”, to make the first step in the right direction.

According to Wikipedia, so it must be true 🙂 there are from US 1 through US 830 168,960 miles of Interstate in the USA alone, proving not every one is on the same journey. You may be on the same road as others, but you are in a different car, with a distinct color, going at your own speed.

I do what I do, because I couldn’t find someone who was. I’ve been to the workshops, read the books, and all the time never knowing that I had the keys to the inner strengths they’re all trying to sell me, in my hand all the time. If you buy a car, the keys come with it. They’re not extra. You are born with the keys to unlock your strengths, but the general consensus is where’s the profit in that?

Don’t get me wrong, my stuff costs money too, but I’m not trying to make you dependent on me. I want you to fly down that highway, windows open, radio blasting out your favorite songs, and I want to know you’ll get to where you need to be, always in the knowledge, I’m always there in the medicine cabinet if needed.

Life shouldn’t be big business, let’s help each other find the way back to one on one.
